Humour Mixes with Alternative and I Like It

Applewine is the ninth album from the very creative 24 year old Alex Arrowsmith. His music is described on his website as “The Beatles if they had been brainwashed in a secret CIA prison by They Might be Giants and Ween”. But at the same time I am reminded of Ben Folds, with a catchy melody in every song along with very unique song writing.

You can tell you are in for a good time just by reading the song titles, for example “I can kill my enemies with my mind” and “Corn dog shaped like California”. This album is a whole lot of fun, it had me singing along and thinking, can I to kill my enemies with my mind. I look forward to his next release.
