World class percussionist, composer and arranger

Perhaps the greatest thing about maintaining this website is that I get to correspond with many incredibly unique and talented performers that I may have never come accross otherwise. In a world where so much music is artificial and manufactured, it is very refreshing to come accross a true artist. This statement has never been truer than with the following musician.

Pamela Lynn is an amazing world class percussionist, composer and arranger from British Columbia Canada. Her album, "Fearless and Feminine: A Voice of Intuitive Rhythms" is a collection of original compositions all performed by Pamela herself. Using a wide variety of percussion instruments as well as her lovely voice, Pamela's multi layered rhythms and melodies manage to take the listener on a relaxing, spiritual journey to a world far outside of our hectic and busy lives.

Pamela accurately describes her sound as a blend of West African and Middle Eastern rhythms with her own contemporary style. She is inspired by many great international artists. Most notably is Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, who has over the years produced many great albums featuring world percussion. Fans of Mickey will definitely enjoy this album.

Her CD has been chosen to be the the official soundtrack for an upcoming feature documentary directed by Alison Sledge. The Working Title is "Visions Within A Dream - The Artistry of the World's Most Talented Female Drummers and Percussionists." Pamela is also very involed with organizations to advance the human rights of women around the world. She is truly an inspiring individual.

Bio: Acknowledged as an accomplished World Percussionist and Professional Drum Facilitator, Pamela Lynn is building a successful career in the field of World Music. Pamela's unique and captivating sound was developed by fusing the interwoven sounds of West African and Middle Eastern rhythms with her own contemporary style. Her concept of "Freestyle Drumming" evolved from a strong desire to share her passion for drumming with people of all ages. Pamela's natural sense of artistry enables her to be a dynamic entertainer and an inspirational teacher, compelled to share her gifts with an ever-growing audience.

With personal intimacy and a passionate belief in the power of expression through rhythm, Pamela Lynn has created a reflective collection of original compositions. Pamela recently released an Instructional Play-Along Audio CD entitled "Essential Rhythms For Personal Empowerment." These twenty uplifting and inspiring rhythms were designed to inspire and enhance the listener’s natural creativity and help them take their first step towards Freestyle Drumming for personal power. Her phenomenal success, as both an entertainer and a drum facilitator, comes from her generous heart and her feminine nature.

As a single mother of three beautiful daughters, Pamela is delighted that women are drawn to her work and teachings. She understands and embraces women's issues with caring and passion. Pamela has been inspired by many world class artists such as Glen Velez, Layne Redmond, Mickey Hart and Hossam Ramzy. She has honed her skills with esteemed professionals such as internationally renowned master facilitator, Arthur Hull. In addition, Pamela graduated from Remo's HealthRHYTHMS® training program conducted by Dr.Barry Bittman and Christine Stevens.
